The Border

So I heard recently of a former border patrol agent who wrote a memoir and will be published soon. I also include stories of our time living on the Arizona border with Mexico when Brad was a Border Patrol Agent in my memoir. He was a bit of a ‘mystery man’ when we first met online because he wasn’t sure how I would react to his job.
In reading an excerpt from the former agent’s book, I found myself remembering the dangers, the friends, and the people I encountered each day in that small border town. This former agent’s new memoir was traditionally published and is getting a lot of publicity. I imagine that is due in large part to the controversy lately over “the wall” and the “dreamers”. All I can say is that I can see both sides of the debate after living on the border. I urge people to keep an open mind and try to find a reasonable compromise.
I hope that people will enjoy the love story of my memoir, but I believe that readers will also gain insights as I describe our lives living on the border and our time as a military family. My memoir is a true love story, but it is much more than a romance. The border, the military, Indian reservations, traveling the world, taking care of parents, job stress, suicide, parenting, and online dating are all included in my memoir. Please join us on our adventure this summer and perhaps see a different side of life or maybe you will relate to our joys and our struggles. Cheers friends!
